Financial statistics for other financial institutions (non-bank) for the month of July 2024

According to the publication calendar, the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo has published the statistics for other financial institutions for the month of July 2024.

Other financial intermediaries

At the end of July 2024, the assets of other financial intermediaries totaled 590.08 million euros, marking an increase of 6.42 million euros comparing to the previous month.

The asset structure of these institutions is dominated by loans, which constitute 68.64% of total assets. Gross loans of other financial intermediaries in July 2024 reached the value of 405.00 million euros, representing an increase of 8.52 million euros compared to the previous period. According to sectors, loans to households dominate with 59.66% in total loans of other financial intermediaries.

The value of new loans issued by other financial intermediaries in July 2024 was 43.97 million euros.

Insurance companies

Assets of insurance companies at the end of July 2024 reached the value of 331.44 million euros, representing an increase of 1.36 million euros compared to the previous month. The structure of assets in the insurance sector consists of the balance with commercial banks, which constitute 44.63%, securities and other assets 27.79% and reinsurance with participation of 15.98%.

Pension funds

Pension fund assets at the end of July 2024, amounted 3.00 billion euros. The asset structure of the pension sector is dominated by equity securities, which constitute 76.91% of total assets.
