CBK Delegation, part of the WB and the IMF spring meetings

The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr Fehmi Mehmeti, accompanied by the Chairperson of CBK Board, Mr Flamur Mrasori, Deputy Governor of the CBK, Mr Sokol Havolli and Chief of Governor's Cabinet, Mr Nexhat Miftari are attending the spring meetings of the World Bank and of the International Monetary Fund held in Washington during the period 8-13 April 2019.

On Thursday, the CBK Delegation and the IMF Mission for Kosovo will hold a meeting to discuss on the recent macroeconomic developments in Kosovo, budget implementation, fiscal risks, etc.

A meeting will also be held with the IMF Managing Director, Mr Tao Zhang, and with the IMF Department Director, Mr Poul Thomsen on the Recent Macroeconomic Developments in Kosovo, as well as on Kosovo's relations with the IMF.

The CBK delegation will also meet the chairing persons of the IMF Monetary and Capital Markets Department, who will be required to provide technical assistance and to implement the FSSR.

During the spring meetings of the World Bank and IMF, the CBK Governor, Mr Fehmi Mehmeti will also meet with the World Bank Country Director for the Western Balkans, Mr Linda Van Gelder to discuss on the recent macroeconomic developments in Kosovo, the Development Policy Loan (DPL), the portfolio of WB projects and their implementation status, the projects to be implemented, and moreover, the requirements for technical assistance will also be submitted.

The CBK Delegation will also attend the opening ceremony of the International Monetary Fund Committee meetings where will be discussed on the Global Developments and Perspectives.

Mr Fehmi Mehmeti, Governor of the CBK, together with Minister of Finance, Mr Bedri Hamza will be attending the meeting of the Governors and Ministers of Central and Eastern Europe in the framework of the Regional Economic Outlook for Central and Southeast Europe, who will discuss on the IMF Regional Economic Forecasting, on Public Enterprises and their management.
