It has come to CBK’s attention that ‘fake news’ are circulating with regard to the functioning of the country’s banking system.
In the light of addressing such fake news, the CBK would like to inform that the banking sector is well capitalized and highly liquid, and is therefore functioning normally and will continue to do so regardless of the duration of the health emergency.
Consequently, the CBK calls citizens and the media not to fall pray of such fake news and insinuation.
