The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, Fehmi Mehmeti, accompanied by the Deputy Governor, Sokol Havolli, met with the Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti, and the Minister of Finance, Hykmete Bajrami.

The meeting, which was also attended by the management of the Kosovo Pension Savings Trust (KPST), discussed the progress of the process of implementing the initiative of the Government of Kosovo to give citizens the opportunity to withdraw 10 per cent of their pension savings from the KPST, in order to mitigate the economic consequences caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

On this occasion, all parties agreed to accelerate actions to facilitate this process, creating easier access for citizens to their data and to elaborating the progress of the withdrawal of their personal savings, after the necessary legal changes.
