Banking statistics for September 2023 are published

According to the calendar of publications, the CBK published banking statistics for September 2023 (https://bqk-kos.org/statistikat/serite-kohore/).

The assets of commercial banks in September 2023 have increased by around 67.6 million euros compared to the previous month. In September 2023, the value of the assets of commercial banks was 7.16 billion euros.

The investments of commercial banks abroad (in the form of deposits, securities and other placements) have recorded an increase of about 43.2 million euros compared to the previous month.

The value of gross loans at the end of September 2023 was 4.79 billion euros, representing an increase of 61.53 million euros compared to the previous month.

Customer deposits in September 2023 marked an increase by around 14.63 million euros compared to the previous month. The value of deposits in September 2023 reached 5.89 billion euros. About 25% of deposits are term deposits. Households dominate with about 66.5% of total deposits (or about 3.88 billion euros).

The loan-deposit ratio in September was 81.9%.

The total capital of commercial banks at the end of September 2023 was 821.3 million euros.

The average interest rate on deposits in September was 2.43% (in August it was 2.52%). 

The average interest rate on loans in September was 6.51% (in August it was 6.70%).

The interest rate margin on loans and deposits in September was 4.08% (in August it was 4.18%).

The value of new loans in September was 166.6 million euros.

The value of new deposits in September was 87.02 million euros.
