Annual Report of the CBK for 2023 submitted: Stability of the financial system and long-term resiliency of the CBK confirmed

The Governor of the CBK, Mr. Ahmet Ismaili had the pleasure of submitting the CBK's Annual Report for 2023 to the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Glauk Konjufca, in accordance with Articles 28 and 59 of the Law on the CBK.

Governor Ismaili has briefed the President of the Assembly Konjufca on the contents of the Annual Report 2023, which reflects the work and operations of the CBK, the performance and stability of the financial sector, and the state of the country's economy. The Report includes audited financial statements approved by the CBK Board.

The report highlights the long-term financial resiliency of the CBK and the achievement of its objectives and tasks as mandated by the Constitution and the Law on the CBK.

Notably, this is the first year since Kosovo's Independence that the CBK, as a constitutional institution, has met the legally specified norm in the general reserves account (Article 55 of the Law on the CBK), ensuring financial resiliency. Furthermore, in compliance with Article 56 of the Law, the CBK has allocated 50% of distributable income as revenue for the Budget of the Republic of Kosovo.

The CBK, as an independent, constitutional, and reliable institution, remains committed to working transparently and responsibly toward the public with professionalism and inclusiveness. It continues to pursue its objectives and implement its Strategic Plan and institutional communication in line with its constitutional mandate.
