Ahmet Ismaili is elected Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo

Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, in the plenary session held on 13 July 2023, elected Mr. Ahmet Ismaili as the new Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo.

There were two candidates for Governor, Ahmet Ismaili and Lulzim Ismajli, and 61 MPs participated in the vote, where Mr. Ahmet Ismaili received 56 votes, Mr. Lulzim Ismajli received 4 votes and one vote was invalid.
The Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo forwards the Governor’s decision to the President of the Republic of Kosovo for the decree.
The mandate of the Governor is five years with the possibility to be re-elected for another mandate.
