The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, according to the publication calendar, presents the commercial bank statistics for December 2024.

Commercial bank assets – at the end of December 2024, they reached the value of 8.56 billion euros, marking an increase of 5.95% compared to the previous month, mainly due to the increase in assets related to financial instruments.

Gross loans – for this month they have reached the value of 5.81 billion euros, with an increase of 131.85 million euros or 2.32% compared to the previous month.

The value of new loans -was 264.1 million euros.

The average interest rate on loans – in December 2024 it was 5.87%, in November 2024 it was 6.02%.

Customer deposits – have reached the value of 6.92 billion euros, an increase of 342.77 million euros or 5.21% compared to the previous month. Out of the accumulated value of customer deposits, about 28.89% are time deposits. By sectors, households dominate with about 65.09% of the total value of deposits or about 4.51 billion euros.

The value of new deposits – in December 2024 – was 150.70 million euros.

The average interest rate on deposits – in December 2024 it was 3.39%, in November it was 2.87%.

The interest rate margin – on loans and deposits – was 2.48%, whereas in November 2024 it was 3.15 %.

The loan-to-deposit ratio – in December 2024, was at the level of 83.97%.

The total capital of commercial banks – at the end of December 2024 – reached a value of 990.27 million euros, whereas loan provisions decreased by about 4.05% compared to the previous month, reaching a value of 135.29 million euros.
