Governor Ismaili received the heads of the Independent Media Commission in a meeting

The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Ahmet Ismaili, hosted the chairperson of the Independent Media Commission (IMC), Mr. Jeton Mehmeti and Mr. Faruk Rexhaj, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the IMC.
Governor Ismaili has informed the heads of IMC about the activities of the CBK in order to achieve the objectives and the new Strategic Plan, with a focus on the objectives and new organizational functions, the stability and progress of the financial system.

In this meeting, the possibility of increasing cooperation between CBK and IMC in areas of common interest, such as financial education along with media, was also discussed.

The advancement of the regulatory framework to combat the phenomenon of counterfeit money, sound practices and consumer protection, digital payments and financial inclusion were also among the topics during this informative meeting, which are considered to be of interest to the public and follow with due care to citizens throughout the country.

At the end of the meeting, Governor Ismaili emphasized that the CBK remains committed to intensifying activities in the field of financial education and awareness, increasing the quality of services and access to finance as well as consumer protection of financial services.
