Acting Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, Bashkim Nurboja,

The Acting Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, Bashkim Nurboja, participated in the conference organized by the International Monetary Fund, together with the National Bank of Croatia “Navigating the future – Policymaking in Choppy Waters: Fostering Resilience in Central and South-Eastern Europe”.

In addition to the Governors and Ministers of Finance of 17 different countries, the Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund, Ms. Kristalina Georgieva.

In the discussions, the Managing Director of the IMF, Mrs. Kristalina Georgieva with the Governors and Ministers of Finance of the respective states, discussed the challenges and opportunities from the consequences of geo-economic fragmentation and energy security; and what is the role of policy-making in addressing these challenges.
Also, in the meeting was discussed the support of the IMF to address the most urgent economic challenges of the countries, what the IMF can do more to help and support the countries, as well as how services and communication with the IMF can serve better.
During the conference, the Acting Governor of the CBK, Mr. Nurboja expressed the CBK’s views regarding the geo-economic fragmentation in the world and the potential challenges of the Kosovo economy, as a result of such developments in the global economy.
