During their visit to Hungary to participate in the 11th Joint ESAs Consumer Protection Day, Deputy Governor Shileku-Shala and Director of the Consumer Protection Department, Suzan Dervari, met with senior executives of the Central Bank of Hungary, responsible for the overall supervision of banks as well as insurance and brokerage companies including the consumer protection supervision of these entities.

This meeting provided an opportunity to discuss consumer protection issues, organizational structure, and the Central Bank of Hungary’s approach in the area of consumer protection. In this context, Deputy Governor Shileku-Shala emphasized the importance of cooperation with the Central Bank of Hungary, noting that the Central Bank of Kosovo (CBK) is currently prioritizing the enhancement of its consumer protection capabilities. The discussions focused on identifying potential areas for collaborative efforts.

This visit underscores CBK’s strong commitment to fostering a robust regulatory environment that supports economic growth while also placing significant emphasis on protecting consumer interests.

Governor Ismaili hosted the World Bank delegation in a meeting.
