Central Bank of Kosovo together with Kosovo Banking Association launch the Global Money Week activities.
Today’s activity has started with the schoolchildren of the fourth grade of the Primary School “Don Bosko”. The pupils were , were welcomed by the CBK Deputy Governor, Lulzim Ismajli, who said that one of the CBK’s strategic goals is to promote a development of the sound financial system in the Republic of Kosovo and to further develope the function of financial education and consumer protection.
The CBK Deputy Governo, Lulzim Ismajli also stressed out that the financial services sector is of great importance in the country’s economic development and that the financial system is evolving by expanding the range of more complex financial products and services and the financial education has a particular role among in the agenda of financial institutions regulators. The financial services sector have a great importance in economic growth, job creation, building of vital infrastructure and sustainable development for Kosovo. ”
Mr. Ismajli added that the CBK is committed in advancing the long-term program on financial education, and one of the activities in the framework of financial education is marking of the Global Money Week.

Mr. Petrit Balija, Director of the Kosovo Banking Association, in his speech said that we are joining today an international initiative aimed at raising awareness on the money use.
Mr. Balija, announced activities in different municipalities, which will help raise awareness of new generations on finance management.
Subsequently, the activity continued with the children who worked on money and savings, being instructed by officials of the Central Bank of Kosovo. They have created a personal savings book in which they expressed their ideas about the importance of money management, their savings plan and how they will manage money in the future.
