Educational activity with the SOS Childrens’ Villages – discussion on financial education

In order to extend financial education activities and include as many children as possible, the CBK this time held an activity with the SOS childrens’ villages in Prishtina.

The purpose of this activity was to encourage children and young people, through conversation, to be informed and learn as much as possible about basic economic and financial concepts, the CBK, the functioning of the financial sector, information about financial products and services, relevant to their age.

During the activity, the topics detailed in financial education books for grades 1-5 of primary schools, prepared by CBK and supported by EFSE-Finance in Motion, were read and discussed. There was also great interest for the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, where the children addressed various questions about the functions of the CBK.

The pedagogues and teachers of SOS Village appreciated the joint activity and the educational materials distributed by the CBK, which they will continue to discuss with the children in future activities.
