Kosovo celebrated the “International Money Week “, an activity that is taking place worldwide. Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, as part of the International Organization for Children and Youth and within its financial-educational activities marked the beginning of this week with children of elementary schools, respectively, of primary schools “Ismail Qemali” and “Hasan Prishtina “. There were about 80 children participating. Present at the event was also the Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Bedri Hamza, who addressed to the children with a speech; his primary message was making proper use of money. Children then worked in groups where each of them spread ideas and knowledge about money and savings.
The main purpose on celebrating this week is to empower young generation to be well responsible citizens and have knowledge of economy. These activities will continue in the future in order to engage children and young people to learn how money works, including savings, money management, employment, being entrepreneurs, banks etc.
With the right support in the education of new generations we will enable the establishment of financial knowledge in order to create a better life for them.
