The Platform for Comparison of Financial Products and Services

Is a web- based application developed to be used by clients with the aim of informing and comparing interest rates and fees of the most commonly used products and services provided by financial institutions. The purpose of the platform is to contribute to increasing transparency, client protection, financial education and advancing access to finance.
Clients may compare the fees of financial products and services in two ways: selection by product and selection by institution.
The fees disclosed on this platform are set by the financial institutions, which are responsible for the accuracy, authenticity and updating of the data disclosed on the Platform.

1. What is the Platform?

The Platform for comparison of financial products and services is a web-application developed for use by consumers with the aim of informing and comparing interest rates and fees of the most commonly used products and services offered by financial institutions.

Consumers can compare the fees of financial products and services in two ways: selection by product and selection by institution.

The fees disclosed on this Platform are determined by the financial institutions, which are responsible for the accuracy, truthfulness and updating of the data disclosed on the Platform.

2. What is the purpose of this Platform?

The purpose of the Platform is to contribute to increasing transparency, supporting consumer Financial Literacy, consumer protection and advancing access to finance.

3. Who determines or sets these fees?

The fees disclosed on this Platform are determined by the financial institutions, which are responsible for the accuracy, truthfulness and updating of the data disclosed on the Platform.

4. What fees can I compare?

The Platform allows you to compare fees and rates for:


ACCOUNTS:
Current account, Savings account, Children’s savings account, Payment account with basic services, Payment account with basic services for vulnerable customer categories, Student account

 

CARDS:
Debit Cards, Credit Cards

 

DEPOSITS:
6 months deposit, 12 months deposit, 24 months deposit, 36 months deposit, 48 months deposit, 60 months deposit

 

LOANS:
Personal loans, Mortgage loans, Home renovation loans, Car loans, Cash covered loans, Overdraft

Each institution fills in the data of what they offer through their packages.

5. Does the Platform for Comparison of Financial Products and Services include the fees charged by all financial institutions operating in Kosovo?

The Platform provides information on fees for products and services most used by financial institutions operating in Kosovo. Currently, at this stage of development, only banking institutions are included. In the future, the Platform will be supplemented with data from other financial institutions to provide a complete and comprehensive overview of the financial market.

6. How can we be informed about the fees of products and services that are not included in the Platform?

For information on fees, rates or other types of products and services that are not disclosed on the Platform - you can refer to the price list link of each institution. Institutions' price lists contain information on the fees of each product and service they offer.

7. Can I compare the product with two or more banking institutions?

You can choose to compare the product with all banks or select only some of them.

8. Can I save and print search results?

Yes, you can save them by sending to your email (press the icon and enter your email address) the results of the searches on the Platform and you can also print the results of the searches made on the Platform by pressing the corresponding button for printing which appears on each page of the Platform.

9. Is the data presented on the Platform up-to-date and how often is the data on the Platform updated?

Currently, the data disclosed on the Platform serve for testing purposes and are updated with the data of November 2024.

The updating of the information from the Financial Institutions will be done after they have made any changes to the existing information on the Platform. At the moment of entry into force of the changes in their rates and fees, that is, at the moment when they are effective, Financial Institutions must update the fees on the Platform.

10. Can institutions charge the consumer less than the amount disclosed on the Platform?

Yes. The maximum (or official) applicable fees for each product or service offered are disclosed on the Platform. However, institutions can charge consumers a lower amount depending on how they agree with their customers.

For more information on any discount or promotional campaign offered by the institutions, please refer to the price lists of each institution on their websites, ask the institution and carefully analyze the conditions offered before signing the agreement.

Attention:

After the end of the testing period, if you encounter any discrepancy between the amounts disclosed on the Platform and the amounts disclosed in the price lists of the institutions, then the fee disclosed on the Platform prevails over the price lists of the institutions.
