Internship program for students

Purpose and duration:

The Internship Program for students, provided by the CBK, enables the linking between theoretical knowledge gained during studies and practical work in independent public institutions. This program lasts four weeks and does not in any way imply any formal working relationship with the CBK.
During the internship, the selected students will be situated in certain organizational units, selected by the CBK, and will work under the guidance of supervisors of the respective units. At the end of the internship, students will be provided with certificates for the completion of the program.

How you can apply?

First of all, students are recommended to look into CBK’s web site and familiarize themselves with the duties and responsibilities of our institution. Then, before applying, please read carefully the application for internship and accordingly determine the areas of interest or organizational units that you consider useful for the completion of internship;

  • Information Technology Department;
  • Analysis and Financial Stability Department;
  • Asset Management Department;
  • Financial Planning and Reporting Department;
  • Administration Department;
  • External Relations Department;
  • Banking Supervision Department;
  • Insurance Supervision Department;
  • Payment Systems Department;
  • Risk Management Department;
  • Review Division;
  • Division of Appeals of Financial Services Users;
  • Anti- Money Laundering Division;
  • Pension and Trade of Securities Division.

Internship at the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo may be attended by students who meet the following criteria:

  • Student must be at the end of university studies, in country or abroad (preferably have completed at least the second year); such as in economics or similar faculties, law and computer science;
  • Students with average grade above 8 are preferred;
  • Students must have the ability to work in groups and individually;
  • Students must have good computer skills and knowledge in MS Office programs (preferably with relevant certifications).

All students must submit the following documents:

  • CBK’s official application form for the “Internship Program for Students”;
  • Detailed CV;
  • Cover (motivation) letter, indicating the interest to attend the internship program;
  • Certificate of grades from the relevant university (in case the candidate is pursuing higher education studies, he/she must have a certificate of grades for all completed semesters up to the moment of application);
  • A reference letter from a lecturer/professor of the relevant university, or a recommendation from the university;
  • Copy of Identity Card or any other identification document.

  • Incomplete documentation will not be considered.
