The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK), as part of its commitments to financial education and promotion of financial inclusion, has continued to carry out educational activities with various educational institutions, with the aim of increasing financial knowledge and developing responsible financial habits among children and young people.

The CBK held an information activity at the “Hoxhë Kadri Prishtina” Vocational School in Fushë Kosova, attended by around 60 students from grades 10, 11 and 12. During the session, the students were introduced to the role and functions of the CBK, the functioning of the financial system in Kosovo, as well as the main concepts of personal finance management, proper budget management and savings.

Educational activities were also held with the students of “Naim Frashëri” ELSS, where about 50 second grade students participated. Through an approach adapted to their age, the children were introduced to basic financial concepts, the importance of money and saving, as well as how to manage money in everyday life.

In the framework of promoting financial inclusion, the CBK, in cooperation with the Kosovo Banking Association, organized an activity at the “Xheladin Deda” Resource Centre for Learning and Counselling in Peja, with the participation of about 50 children and the centre’s staff. Through discussions and practical examples, the participants had the opportunity to learn more about the concept of money, savings, spending planning and the use of financial products.financiare.

Another activity was held with students from the “Mehmet Gjevori” Primary School in Prishtina, which was attended by around 30 students. In addition to topics related to financial education and personal finance management, the students were also introduced to the characteristics and security elements of euro banknotes and coins.

All activities were characterized by active participation, high interest, and interactive discussions, creating opportunities for students to expand their knowledge of basic financial concepts and the importance of making informed financial decisions from an early age.

Through these initiatives, the CBK continues to contribute to the advancement of financial education in Kosovo, promoting financial awareness, the development of practical skills and the financial inclusion of all citizens.

CBK marks 1 June – International Children’s Day with an educational activity for students
