As part of the awareness campaign “Economy for All”, representatives of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK) and the Kosovo Disability Forum (KDF) conducted an information and educational activity with citizens with disabilities.

During the activity, citizens were informed about the role and key functions of the CBK, with a special focus on the protection of financial consumers, especially vulnerable consumers. Participants had the opportunity to learn more about the role of the CBK in supervising the financial sector, protecting consumer rights, as well as the initiatives undertaken by the CBK, which aim to increase financial inclusion and equal access to financial services for all citizens.

Next, banking products and services were presented in order to inform citizens about their safe use, including payment accounts with basic services and other instruments that support the financial inclusion of vulnerable groups.

During the open discussion, participants had the opportunity to share their personal experiences and address the problems they face every day in their relations with financial institutions. These discussions brought important ideas and suggestions that will serve to further improve access and communication between the financial sector and persons with disabilities.

This activity is part of the ongoing efforts of the CBK to strengthen financial education and promote an inclusive financial system, in accordance with the principles of consumer protection and equality.

The “Economy for All” campaign will continue in the coming days in other cities in Kosovo, bringing awareness-raising and information activities on access to finance for persons with disabilities.
