12/11/2019

At today's meeting of the Executive Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, the preliminary approval of the request by the subject "Credins Bank Kosovo" for licensing as a bank in the Republic of Kosovo was made. The request for licensing submitted from “Credins Bank Kosovo” to the Central Bank during this year was positively assessed based on the requirements of the Law on Banks, Microfinance Institutions and Non-Bank Financial Institutions and the Regulation on Licensing of Banks and Branches of Foreign Banks.

The subject "Credins Bank Kosovo" has foreseen to offer a wide range of contemporary banking services in the banking market of our country with competitive conditions. Its founder and sole shareholder is ''Credins Bank J.S.C.'' from Albania, which has been operating since 2003 and is one of the largest banks.

During the forthcoming period in accordance with the legislation in force, the subject "Credins Bank Kosovo" must meet all legal requirements for the commencement of its operations. Consequently, with the Central Bank's affirmative determination for the fulfilment of these conditions, the subject "Credins Bank Kosovo" qualifies to potentially obtain a license to operate as a new bank in our country, for which the public will be informed in due time.
