In the conference organized on the ocassion of the publication of the second number of the CBK Financial Stability Report, held on December 19, 2011, in the CBK auditorium, were also distributed  Awards for special achievements of CBK staff.
  
Special award for the international recognition for scientific research work was distributed to: 
1. Sokol Havolli – with his his scientific work “The Determinants of Emigrant Earnings and Remittances: Evidence from Kosova” has won the prestigious award “Olga Radzyner”, which is delivered each year by Austria National Bank for best scientific work on economy and finance field  for Young Economists from South-East Europe.  
2. Bejtush Kiçmari – with his scientific work “Determinants of Foreign Direct Investment in South East European Countries (SEEC)” has won the prestigious award “Olga Radzyner”, which is delivered each year by Austria National Bank for best scientific work on economy and finance field   for Young Economists from South-East Europe.

Special international recognition for professional competence was given to:
1. Mentor Geci – for his inclusion in the List of International Monetary Fund experts on Monetary and Financial Statistics; and
2. Bedri Zymeri – for his inclusion in the List of International Monetary Fund experts on Balance of Payments Statistics.

Special recognitions for exemplary representation of the CBK in international seminars were given to:
1. Astrit Panxha – for exemplary representation of the CBK in three-months course   “Aplied Economic Policy” organized by IMF Institute in Vienna   (IMF Joint Vienna Institute); and
2. Albulena Xhelili – for exemplary representation of the CBK in three-months course   “Aplied Economic Policy” organized by IMF Institute in Vienna   (IMF Joint Vienna Institute).

On this occasion, Governor Gerguri stated that "investment in skills and knowledge of staff has no alternative, because behind every public or private institution is the staff.
