Monetary and Financial Statistics

Monetary and Financial Statistics at the level of depository corporations (commercial banks and central bank) are compiled and published on monthly basis since 2001. Starting from 2004, within Monetary and Financial Statistics are included also statistics on other financial corporations, compiled and published on quarterly basis.

Monetary and Financial Statistics contain financial and nonfinancial assets and financial liabilities of the financial sector. Key principles and concepts of the monetary and financial statistics are: residency, sectorial breakdown, classification of instruments, revaluation, aggregation and consolidation. Monetary and Financial Statistics are presented based on the instrument and sector. Monetary and Financial Statistics Methodology

The compilation of Monetary and Financial Statistics is based on statistical projects: Statistical Bank Report, Interest Rates Report and other sources of information.

Statistical Bank Report is a statistical project based on monthly reporting of the commercial banks on their financial position.

Interest Rate Report is a statistical project based on monthly reporting of the commercial banks on their annual effective interest rates on deposits and loans.

Other sources of information for compilation of Monetary and Financial Statistics are CBK financial supervision and accounting system.

Since August 2009 Monetary and Financial Statistics are published on monthly basis in the IMF’s International Financial Statistics (IFS): http://www.imfstatistics.org/imf/).

Monetary and Financial Statistics are compiled in accordance with international standards such as:
