Based on the Law on the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK), CBK collects, compiles, publishes statistics and disseminates information on statistical methodology. Statistics under the CBK’s direct responsibility are Monetary and Financial Statistics, and External Sector Statistics.

These statistics are in line with standards as developed by the International Monetary Fund, European Central Bank, Eurostat, etc. Source of data for compilation of Monetary and Financial Statistics and External Sector Statistics are: CBK, commercial banks, other financial corporations, (insurance companies, pension funds, etc.), government institutions, nonfinancial corporations, donors, etc.

CBK also publishes information on fiscal and real sector of the economy.
