President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today at a meeting the Governor of the Central Bank of Kosovo, Mr. Bedri Hamza, who informed her with the activities which this institution conducted during a period of one year.

Governor of the Central bank of Kosovo, Mr. Hamza, stated that Kosovo’s banking system continues to remain stable and emphasized the engagement of the institution which he leaves towards maintenance of this positive trend during 2014 as well. Mr. Hamza also informed Madam President with the banking activities in Kosovo, in particular the cooperation with international financial institutions.

He also added that this institution will continue to strengthen its professionalism in service to a stable banking system and emphasized the necessity of guaranteeing of a good investment climate and consequently that of the country’s banking system.

President Jahjaga praised the work undertaken by CBK and emphasized the need for this institution’s continuation of its engagements towards maintenance of Kosovo’s financial stability. She also said that CBK must continue to help the banking system in Kosovo by strengthening of its capacities.
