On invitation of the IMF Board Chairman and the World Bank, the Central Bank of Republic of Kosovo Governor Mr. Hashim Rexhepi and Minister of Economy and Finance Mr. Ahmet Shala shall participate as observers in the regular Annual Conference in Washington D.C. from 11 until 13 October.

Together with the CBK Governor in this conference will also participate the CBK Vice Governor Mr. Gani Gërguri.

Participation in the IMF and World Bank conference is of a great importance regarding Kosovo application for membership in the International Monetary Fund.  

The CBK attended annual conferences of the IMF and the WB in the past as well.
