Governor of the Central Bank of Luxembourg Mr. Yves Mersch was hosted by Mr. Hashim Rexhepi, the governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo and his associates. During this meeting, the two governors agreed on a mutual cooperation, between two banks in different areas. Governor Rexhepi has thanked Mr. Mersch for the visit of the CBK, as well as the ongoing support of Luxembourg to Kosovo.  Governor of the Luxembourg Central Bank Mr. Mersh showed its readiness to help the CBK, in various fields, such as staff training and specialization in banking, at the University of Luxembourg.   The two governors also agreed for deepening of cooperation and exchange of experiences in the future.

In his pronouncement for media, Mr. Mersh congratulated Kosovo for its membership in the highest institutional mechanisms such as the IMF and the WB.   During his visit to Kosovo, Mr. Flesh, accompanied by Governor Rexhepi, had a meeting with Minister of Economy and Finance in the Government of Kosovo, Mr. Ahmet Shala.
