Kosovo and Turkey increase cooperation in the banking sector

 During the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Annual Meetings held in Bali, Indonesia, the Governor of the Central Bank of Republic of Kosovo, Fehmi Mehmeti and the Governor of the Central Bank of Turkey, Murat Çetinkaya signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding is to deepen the relationship and strengthen the exchange of information as well as the cooperation in the field of central banking, by taking initiatives to enhance the business dialogue at the experts’ level and exchange of knowledge and expertise.

The CBK Governor, Fehmi Mehmeti expressed his satisfaction for increasing the cooperation with the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey through this memorandum, which would also enable the exchange of information and views on economic and financial developments in both countries, as well as central banking issues.
Upon signing of this Memorandum of Understanding, the Parties agree to strengthen the exchange of knowledge and expertise through official working visits. Exchanges can be made in the form of technical advice, temporary staff movements, trainings, seminars, workshops, expert visits, research visits or research activities in mutually agreed areas.
