Ambassador Delawie congratulated Governor Mehmeti for his election as Governor and encouraged the CBK to continue its path in regulating the financial sector and maintaining the stability of the sector. Ambassador Delawie also stressed that a strong senior leadership at the CBK is critical for Kosovo’s continued financial strength and expressed the desire of the US Embassy to continue working with the CBK.

His Excellency Mr. Greg Delawie, Ambassador of the United States of America to the Republic of Kosovo, visited the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo today, where Governor Fehmi Mehmeti welcomed him.

On this occasion, Governor Mehmeti informed the Ambassador on the developments in the financial sector of the country, underlining the growth of activities in this sector in supporting the country's economic development and on the high level of this sector stability.
Governor Mehmeti also expressed great gratitude for the continued support given by the US Government to the institutional development of the CBK since its establishment and for the economic development of the country in general. Governor Mehmeti expressed his high commitment in advancing all CBK functions and further strengthening of excellent cooperation with the US Embassy and all US Government agencies.
