All the parties interested in establishing a bank must initially apply to the CBK for a banking license to carry out banking activities. Those interested to get a bank license must initially read the Banking Licensing Manual and the Frequently Asked Questions for Bank Licensing, then directly contact the Department for Licensing and Standardization of the CBK to set up an informational meeting, which is mandatory prior to the application process.
