{"id":5306,"date":"2023-03-30T09:16:18","date_gmt":"2023-03-30T09:16:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bqk-kos.org\/edu\/?post_type=activities&#038;p=5306"},"modified":"2025-03-21T14:34:59","modified_gmt":"2025-03-21T14:34:59","slug":"summary-of-international-money-week-2023","status":"publish","type":"activities","link":"https:\/\/bqk-kos.org\/edu\/activities\/summary-of-international-money-week-2023\/?lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Summary of \u201cInternational Money Week 2023\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/bqk-kos.org\/edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/fm2-1.jpg\" alt=\"fm2\" class=\"wp-image-5336\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bqk-kos.org\/edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/fm2-1.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/bqk-kos.org\/edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/fm2-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bqk-kos.org\/edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/fm2-1-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the motto \u201cPlan your finances, plant your future\u201d for the 10th year in a row, the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo marked \u201cInternational Money Week 2023\u201d; this is a campaign, which is led and coordinated by the OECD, and 176 countries of the world participate.<br>Also this year, as in previous years, CBK organized various activities to increase information and financial knowledge among children and young people, and in particular, the focus of this week was the minorities living in Kosovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/bqk-kos.org\/edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/2-jnp.jpg\" alt=\"2-jnp\" class=\"wp-image-5339\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bqk-kos.org\/edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/2-jnp.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/bqk-kos.org\/edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/2-jnp-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bqk-kos.org\/edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/2-jnp-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year the \u201cInternational Money Week\u201d was held from 20 to 26 March 2023 and the activities organized by the CBK to mark this week are:<br><br><strong>20 March, Pristina&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 The week was opened by the Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo who held a lecture for the students of the High School \u201cSami Frash\u00ebri\u201d in Prishtina. The governor spoke about the importance of financial education and the impact that financial education has on raising the well-being of citizens. The Governor talked to the students who addressed the Governor with various questions about the financial sector and money management. After that the students had the opportunity to listen to a detailed lecture on the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as had the opportunity to visit the building of the Central Bank of Kosovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/bqk-kos.org\/edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/3-janp.jpg\" alt=\"3-janp\" class=\"wp-image-5342\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bqk-kos.org\/edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/3-janp.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/bqk-kos.org\/edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/3-janp-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bqk-kos.org\/edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/3-janp-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On this occasion, the CBK has announced an Essay competition, dedicated to Kosovo high school students (grades X-XII) who can apply with one essay on the topic \u201cPlan your finances, plant your future\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>21 March, Fush\u00eb Kosov\u00eb&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 Officials of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo visited the organization \u201cThe idea partnership\u201d in Fush\u00eb Kosov\u00eb where they also developed the activity with the students of the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities. The students listened to a lecture by CBK officials about various topics relevant to their age, starting from personal finance management, behavior\/relationship with financial institutions, savings, expense management, etc. The set of 5 Financial Education Books and other educational materials were distributed to the students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/bqk-kos.org\/edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/4-jnp.jpg\" alt=\"4-jnp\" class=\"wp-image-5345\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bqk-kos.org\/edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/4-jnp.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/bqk-kos.org\/edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/4-jnp-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bqk-kos.org\/edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/4-jnp-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>22 March, Prizren\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 In the \u201cFinancial Education Center\u201d of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, in Prizren, a group of students from the Bosnian community from LSS \u201cSvjetlost\u201d \u2013 Manastirice, were received. Students had the opportunity to listen to a lecture by CBK officials on: the value of money, the history of money; the importance of having a mean of exchange\/trade acceptable to all; the role and functions of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo; the use of the euro in Kosovo, and many other topics of economic importance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/bqk-kos.org\/edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/5-jnp.jpg\" alt=\"5-jnp\" class=\"wp-image-5354\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bqk-kos.org\/edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/5-jnp.jpg 768w, https:\/\/bqk-kos.org\/edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/5-jnp-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>23 March, Prizren\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Students of the Bosnian community from the \u201cYmer Prizreni\u201d secondary economic school were welcomed at the \u201cFinancial Education Center\u201d of the CBK, in Prizren.
