Citizens and the entire public are shocked by the announcement of the tragic event that took place on 27.12.2018 in Istog, where during a criminal assault on the robbery of a commercial bank, Izet Demaj, Kosovo Police officer, was seriously injured and therefore has died.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo and the Kosovo Banking Association express their condolences to the hero's family, who lost his life on duty while protecting the citizens of Kosovo.
He sacrificed his life to protect the freedom of all citizens of Kosovo and their right to live and act in peace and security in the Republic of Kosovo.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo and the Kosovo Banking Association strongly condemn such criminal acts by the armed criminal groups, who are terrorizing Kosovo with on-going attacks, which have become an ugly phenomenon in recent years, and also express support towards security institutions in increasing capacities and engagement in preventing these incidents.
