Governor Gërguri and the Chairman of the Board of the Central Bank, Mr. Gazmend Luboteni have had a successfully participation in the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank (WB) in Washington DC
Besides participating in the plenary session of the Board of Governors of the IMF and the World Bank, the Governor Gërguri and the Minister of Economy, Hamza also participated in the Belgian -Austrian constituency meeting (which Kosovo is a member of) and also met with Deputy Director the IMF, Ms. Nemat  Shafik.
CBK delegation had meetings with senior officials of the IMF, of the World Bank, the Department of Treasury and the State Department of USA. In a meeting with senior officials of the IMF, is high appreciated the progress achieved in advancing the competence and independence of the CBK, and the so far commitments of it in maintaining stability of financial sector. In the meeting with senior officials of the World Bank are agreed actions related to advancing the deposit insurance system, payment system and other projects related to the advancement of financial market infrastructure in Kosovo.

            

In a meeting with senior officials of the Treasury Department of has U.S.A was estimated the progress in preparing the infrastructure for the securities market and agreed technical assistance in the field of mortgage market and supervision of the insurance industry.
