The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, Fehmi Mehmeti and representatives of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK) are attending the spring meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, which due to the pandemic are being held virtually.
These meetings will be held from 7 to 19 April.
In the virtual meetings it will be discussed about the latest fiscal and financial economic developments, as well as expectations for 2021.
In the meetings that will take place in the following days, the implementation of the recommendations from the previous reports of technical assistance will be discussed, as well as the expressions of interest for future support.
The topic of these virtual meetings is expected to be the support of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund for debt relief for fair and affordable access to vaccines from developing countries, as well as recovery from the COVID-19 crisis, saving the lives of people and support for resilient and inclusive green development, as well as policy perspectives and challenges for Europe and the IMF.
Part of the discussion in these meetings will be the reforms, future projects and discussion of funding opportunities in the future.
