As a part of the delegation of the Republic of Kosovo, the Acting Governor of the CBK, Mr.Gani Gërguri, accompanied by the Chairman of the CBK Board, Mr.Gazmend Luboteni, participated at the annual meetings of the IMF and WB, held on 8-9 October 2010, in Washington D.C.
Along with the participation at the plenary session of the Board of Governors, the CBK delegation had meetings with relevant departments of the IMF and WB. In the meetings with the senior officials of the IMF departments (monetary and capital markets, statistics, finance, etc.) further technical assistance has been confirmed in the area of financial legislation, corporate governance and participation in the GDDS Project. In the meetings with senior officials of the WB departments it has been reconfirmed the mutual commitment towards the realization of the existing projects of the technical assistance for the financial sector as well as related to the additional financing for the project on national payments system. Also, it has been elaborated the initial plan for preparation of the Kosovo to be included in the IMF and WB FSAP in the near future.
