Mr. Fehmi Mehmeti, Acting Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo with his team, hosted today at the meeting the IMF delegation, headed by Mr. Jacques Miniane, outgoing Head of Mission for Kosovo and Mrs. Stephanie Eble, the new Head of Mission for Kosovo.
Mr. Mehmeti thanked the delegation of the International Monetary Fund for the visit, cooperation and continued support of the International Monetary Fund to the Republic of Kosovo and in particular the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo. At the same time, Mr. Mehmeti informed the International Monetary Fund delegation about economic and financial developments in the Republic of Kosovo, with particular emphasis on the financial sector, which is marking positive developments in all sectors, being an example in the region.
Mr. Mehmeti briefed the IMF delegation on the CBK future priorities and challenges, and the CBK's readiness for further cooperation with the International Monetary Fund.
The Mission of the International Monetary Fund will remain in Kosovo until 6 October 2017.
